She's on screen right now as one of the main TV hosts for Euro 2024, but just a few weeks ago Laura Woods was put out of action after a 'freak accident' whilst on holiday with her famous boyfriend.

After speculation they were an item, Laura finally went 'official' with former Love Island star Adam Collard towards the end of 2023 with her and the Geordie gym owner sharing a series of loved up photos of themselves on their respective Instagram grids. In April, Laura featured Adam in a post which she simply captioned 'Things I love', with one photo of the couple out for drinks and another of them laid back on a surf board.

It was on May 17 that Laura, who has been taking charge of Euros game for ITV, shocked her growing number of followers with a concerning update. As she shared pictures of her bloodied face, Laura did warn people 'not to swipe' if they were sensitive to blood, with one of the images showing her with nasty looking cuts on her cheek and around her eye,, with another snap showing Adam sitting next to her hospital bed.

Revealing what had happened, Laura wrote; "Just wanted to explain my absence from the telly for a little while, to be totally transparent and avoid any speculation. I had an accident last weekend at a holiday cottage. I swung a pillow and hit a large, glass lampshade hanging from the ceiling above me, which shattered and cut my face and arms, but luckily missed my eye."

After thanking Adam and her agents for their support, Laura then added: "It was a hell of a shock and I’ve been a bit sad, but I’m feeling very lucky it wasn’t worse. So a big thanks to my eyebrow too, for taking the brunt of it."

The accident meant that Laura had to pull out of anchoring TNT coverage of the big fight between Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk, but, thankfully she has recovered enough to be on screen as planned for Euro 2024 and, on Saturday as she presented Belgium v Romania, was delighted to announce that Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou had joined the pundit team.
