Jack Black 'stoating' around Glasgow as he's spotted ahead of Tenacious D gig

Jack Black has been spotted in Glasgow as the American singer and acting star prepares to put on another show-stopping performance in the city on Friday night.

The 54-year-old, who voiced PO in the Kung Fu Panda films, will take centre stage as Tenacious D's lead singer for a second gig in Glasgow's OVO Hydro. The rock band are currently on the European leg of their 'Spicy Meatball' world tour.

One fan, named John McClelland, took to social media in disbelief when he saw the star 'stoating' around Glasgow on Bothwell street according to reports in Glasgow Live.

He wrote: "People of Glasgow and any movie or music fans of Jack black / Tenacious D , Well Jack black is stoating about Glasgow on his jack jones. Got him just off bothwell street. Skadooosh."

Another fan who spotted the star wrote: "Jack Black I’m sorry we hollered at you from across the street but you are the coolest MF ever for coming over. See you at the show tonight."

Scots Marvel actress Karen Gillan and Biffy Clyro band members were among those in the crowd for the Spicy Meatball tour at Thursday night's show in Glasgow.

The band delighted Glasgow crowds, after hailing the city their favourite gig so far on tour. Jack bellowed “f*** it, let’s do it for Glasgow!” and belted Master Exploder alongside band member Kyle Gass, who co-founded the band.

Tenacious D is an American comedy rock duo formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1994.
