Jake Gyllenhaal Loves Nothing Better Than A Greggs £1.99 Baguette

You’d think that when a Hollywood A-lister came to London they’d be dining out at the capital’s flash restaurants.

But Jake Gyllenhaal isn’t interested in the likes of the Chiltern Firehouse and Cipriani , oh no, when he’s in town the Southpaw star loves nothing more than chowing down on a Greggs’s £1.99 baguette.

The actor told Magic FM that he loved nothing more than grabbing a Greggs and finding a patch of grass to sit down on and really savour it.

The Sun reported: “I eat Greggs, Greggs baguettes — that’s what I eat when I’m in London.

“If it’s sunny, I just find a green spot and sit. That’s what I do when I’m here.”

The film star had followed an intensive workout regime to beef up for his latest role in Southpaw as boxer, Billy Hope, but he’s obviously slackened off a little. We can’t imagine a Greggs baguette is part of any health plan.

Jake admitted that no one recognised him on his trips to the high street bakery. Possibly because they wouldn’t believe their eyes if they saw a Hollywood star loitering by the sausage rolls.

The Brokeback Mountain actor told Magic: “I rarely get recognised here. I find the British people to be a little like, shy, I guess or maybe they just don’t care.”
