James Nesbitt's Eyebrows Overshadow Cold Feet Return

Monday night’s triumphant return of Cold Feet to our screens is in danger of being overshadowed by an unlikely pair of supporting players.

While most viewers raved about the reboot of the much-loved comedy drama, dozens of others struggled to keep up with the storyline after clapping eyes on James Nesbitt’s ridiculously luscious-looking eyebrows.

The 51-year-old actor, who plays widower Adam Williams, is already well known for his hair transplant. But his much-publicised weave paled in comparison to his thick, dark brows, which one viewer claimed must surely be ‘painted on’.

One fan claimed on Twitter that the Irish actor’s arches could even give Sir Roger Moore’s iconic brows a run for their money, while another suggested the spirit of the late, great David Gest was living on through the medium of Adam’s face.

It’s what he would have wanted.

With fellow actor John Thompson also well-known for having gone under the surgical knitting needle, at times the ITV show was in danger of resembling an hour-long promo for hair weaves, but to their credit, the show’s writers refused to resign Nesbitt and Thompson’s follicular enhancements to being hairy elephants in the room and wove them into the script.

Thompson told Digital Spy the gags were writer Mike Bullen’s idea. “He was happy with it,” he said. “It had to be addressed.”

Hopefully viewers will be able to brush aside their obsession with Jimmy’s brows before the next episode airs on Monday.
