Jamie Lee Curtis and John Cleese reunite 32 years after 'A Fish Called Wanda'

Jamie Lee Curtis and John Cleese have reunited 32 years after they shared the screen in the film A Fish Called Wanda.

Actress Curtis, 61, posted a picture on Instagram of the pair having what she called a “wanderful” lunch together.

She suggested it was the first time she had met up with 80-year-old Cleese in a while.

The image was posted below an old snap of the pair from when they co-starred in the popular 1988 heist comedy.

Curtis wrote: “Something’s fishy here.... oh right, WE ARE OLD!”

“Wanderful lunch with Mr Cleese.”

The words “Together again for the first time” were emblazoned across the snap, and Curtis added the hashtag “#notdeadyet.”

Cleese penned the film, which also starred Kevin Kline and Michael Palin, and it was directed by Charles Crichton.

The comedy followed a gang of diamond thieves who double cross each another in a bid to find stolen diamonds.

It was a huge hit when it was released in 1988 and has become a cult classic.

Curtis and Cleese reunited in 1997 for the comedy Fierce Creatures, which also starred Kline and Palin.

Curtis’s post went down a storm with fans online.

Britain’s Got Talent star David Walliams was among those to comment, writing simply: “The greatest.”

Singer Johnny Hooker also weighed in, posting: “Love you both.”

Many fans said they did not think the stars had changed much since playing barrister Archie Leach and femme fatale Wanda Gershwitz.

“You look the same!” posted one person, while another noted that “age is just a number”.

“You two both still look amazing!” gushed another fan.
