Jamie Lomas has revealed that he wants to return to EastEnders following his stint in this year's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

The actor appears in tonight's final (December 10), where he will do battle with Georgia Toffolo and Iain Lee for the jungle crown.

Before the jungle, Lomas was starring as Warren Fox in Hollyoaks, before deciding to quit the soap earlier this year.

Nonetheless, it seems he is still keen on working in the soap industry and, after previously reprising his role in Hollyoaks, wants to do the same elsewhere.

Yes, it appears Lomas wants to return to his old stomping ground in Walford and reprise his role as Jake Stone.

"I'd love to go back to EastEnders," he told The Daily Star.

"I had an amazing time with the people there. I still have some fantastic friends there."

Lomas played his troubled alter ego on the BBC soap from 2013 to 2014, with a guest appearance during a flashback episode airing for the show's 30th anniversary in 2015.

Jake was a struggling alcoholic, which Lomas says he would like to re-explore.

"I had such a fantastic character to play," he added. "When you're playing someone with a drinking problem, you have to do it justice for the people who are suffering.

"I studied alcoholism at length. And I'm forever grateful to EastEnders for giving me that opportunity."

EastEnders airs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
