Jamie Oliver and son River pick his "favourite fruit in the whole wide world"

Jamie Oliver is making the most of summer's seasonal produce and took his youngest son on a mini adventure to pick mulberries this week.

The celebrity chef and River, four, were filmed picking the summer fruit from a tree, which Jamie shared on Instagram in an adorable post.

Captioning the video, he wrote: "Picking Mulberries with River! These are my favourite fruit in the whole wide world!!"

In the cute social media post, Jamie is heard asking River to "tell everyone what you're doing".

The youngster replies: "We're picking mulberries, actually."

Jamie then declares: "They're everywhere and they are literally my favourite fruit in the whole wide world."

Squeezing one of the juicy mulberries he'd just picked, Jamie adds: "That's amazing. Wow, mulberries."

Little River then imitates his dad and shouts, "wow".

Jamie's fans responded to the lovely video, with one saying: "River is just divine, he brings a smile to my dial every time he is on my feed!!"

Another wrote: "Jamie's baby is too cute".

One fan added: "My fav fruit too! 😍😍😍".

The celeb chef recently revealed another of his favourite summer fruits, which surprised fans.

Sharing an unusual photo of yellow raspberries on Instagram, he told his followers they were one of his favourite summer fruits.
