Jamie Oliver's eight-year-old son Buddy uses knife and gas hob in presenting debut
Jamie Oliver’s eight-year-old son is following in his father’s footsteps as a cooking presenter, making his debut on YouTube cooking scrambled eggs.
The TV chef introduced Buddy and revealed he regularly cooks scrambled eggs, waffles and pancakes for his older sisters Poppy, 17, Daisy, 16, and Petal, 10.
Oliver said: “This is something Buddy does on his own a couple of times a week. I think it’s great seeing young people cook.”
He added: “He’s great with a knife, I’ve taught him how to use a knife properly.”

Buddy then demonstrates how to cook scrambled eggs, slicing crusty bread to put in the toaster and whisking eggs before adding them to a hot pan with butter.
Buddy reveals: “Dad taught me a trick how to get the shell out - just use another bit of shell.”
He advises viewers to make their eggs “silky”, but not “too soggy or overcooked.”
Encouraged by his father to “style it out” he flips his toast out of the toaster and catches it in the air.
The video has already clocked up over 300,000 views on YouTube with viewers hailing Buddy as “cute” and calling for him to get his own series.
One wrote: “I think it's time to give Buddy his own little series on YouTube! Imagine other 8 year olds watching him and getting inspired.”
Another commented: “He's got a brilliant camera presence not even slightly nervous.”
Oliver, 44, introduces Buddy as “one of my many children”. He and wife Jools Oliver, 44, also have three daughters and a three-year-old son River.
