Jared Leto sings and a dog cooks dinner with a Cat in wild “America's Got Talent” finale

Stop us if you've heard this one: A dog, a Cat, and an Oscar winner all took the spotlight on the wacky America's Got Talent season 18 finale.

Eleven different acts competed for the $1 million grand prize Wednesday evening — and one of the top performers wasn't even human.

Before the champ was revealed, Jared Leto's band Thirty Seconds To Mars accompanied performances by acrobats the Ramadhani Brothers and dance crew Chibi Unity, who ultimately ended the show with the statuses of grand finalist and finalist, respectively.

In a pretaped segment, celebrity chef Cat Cora cooked a meal with competitor Adrian Stoica and his dog Hurricane. The canine performer chowed down ingredients, fetched utensils, and made a mess in the kitchen, aptly soundtracked by "Rock You Like a Hurricane."

Stoica and Hurricane were finally crowned the season 18 winners after wowing the judges with an elaborate physical comedy routine set to Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." During the performance, Hurricane helped her partner choose an outfit, get dressed, and prepare for a romantic evening with judge Sofía Vergara. Hurricane is the first dog to win the series since the Olate dogs in season 7.

Meanwhile, magician Anna DeGuzman placed second, while dance group Murmuration came in third place.

There were also several other notable celebrity appearances in the finale. Jason Derulo sang for Murmuration's dance performance, while Jon Batiste joined the Mzansi Youth Choir for a rousing song, and Diane Warren performed alongside Lavender Darcangelo. The fictional boy band from Trolls Band Together, BroZone, also appeared to perform a clip from NSYNC's first new song in 20 years, "Better Place." It should be noted that BroZone consists exclusively of animated Trolls, so the group was not physically performing on stage.
