Jason Biggs is looking back at American Pie, 25 years later.

In celebration of the iconic film's 25th anniversary, Biggs has teamed up with Edwards Desserts to reimagine the film's classic pie scene — this time, the family-friendly way.

The spot, which highlights the new "Anniversary Apple Pie," shows Biggs' character coming home and eyeing a pie on the counter before he gets a phone call and steps out. By the time he gets back, he walks in on his little boy eating the pie. Not only is he eating it with his hands, but it's all over his face.

"It's not what it looks like," he says.

The two sit together, examining the mostly eaten pie. Then, Biggs says, "Well... we'll just tell your mother that we uh, that we ate it all." The scene ends with the two laughing together.

Biggs tells PEOPLE he had a blast putting a spin on the moment in celebration of the "next-level apple pie."

"Edwards and I have been partners for a little while now, but what we decided to do for the 25th anniversary of the movie was pay homage to that scene and to the classic apple pie that's in that movie," he shares.

"They made this amazing new version. It's pretty elevated with salted caramel, white chocolate cream and spiced apple compote. It's lux."

Calling the pie "delicious," Biggs continues, "It's apple pie, but it's next-level apple pie."

"From my end, I thought, 'Hey, wouldn't it be really cool if we could do a remake of the pie scene, but with a reimagined version of it where I'm the Eugene," he explains, referencing Eugene Levy, who played Jim's dad in the 1999 classic.

The actor, 46, shares sons Lazlo, 6½, and Sid, 10, with wife Jenny Mollen.

"It's more family-friendly, and I have kids now, so this version of it really hit home for me. I think American Pie fans will really be happy about it," he adds.

Fans of Biggs and American Pie can bring home Edwards Desserts Anniversary Apple Pie and get the chance to win some signed memorabilia in the process.

"You can go to pieloversunite.com and enter to win one yourself from now until June 26," Biggs says. "Additionally, you can win some American Pie memorabilia. I have signed some posters and there's a script signed by the cast and lots of cool things."
