Arjun Yadav produces under his RSA Endeavors banner. Casting directors Barbie Block and Robin Lippin will executive-produce alongside Ben Escobar. The film is currently in post production and the producer’s aim is to develop the project into a feature or series after securing a festival berth.

“I was drawn to the script because I thought it was hilarious,” said Smart. “The clever dialogue winks at all our quirky little private moments when we question, ‘Am I really a good person?’ Combine that with the opportunity to play God and I had to say yes.”

Too Good encourages viewers to reflect on their own lives”, said Meron. “If I made you blush or allowed for an uncomfortable truth to be revealed…I did my job…Jean’s powerful presence, and her remarkable ability to exude both authority and warmth makes her perfect for a role as iconic as God.”

She continued: “And who better to match wits with the Almighty than Lil Rel Howery! His down-to-earth charm and impeccable comedic instincts add layers to the film’s exploration of morality and redemption. Together, Smart and Howery will redefine divine comedy.”

Jean Smart is repped by WME and Untitled Entertainment. Lil Rel Howery is repped by UTA, Fourth Wall Management and Cohen & Gardner.
