Jedward pay tribute to their mum after she dies from cancer

Jedward have paid a touching tribute to their mum and long-time manager after revealing that she has sadly passed away following "years" of living with cancer.

Jedward – otherwise known as John and Edward Grimes – confirmed the news on Twitter earlier today (February 15), telling fans that their mum Susanna Condron's memory will continue to "live on through [them]".

In a touching post, the brothers remembered their "Mammy". "You live on through us," they wrote. "We will miss you and your smile. You shaped the character of who we are.

"Mammy lived with cancer for many years but was always full of life! You live on in our Memories and will always be alive in our Hearts."

News of their mum's death comes not long after the twins' dad was hospitalised during their time in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2017.

Not wanting to disrupt his sons' (very successful) time on the reality show, John Grimes opted not to tell Jedward how critically ill he was.

In a statement at the time, Susanna explained: "The last week has been very stressful for Jedward's family.

"John Snr has been in intensive care. He insisted Edward and John must not be informed about his critical condition.

"He stated he would not jeopardise their chances of reaching the final as 'there would have been legions of disappointed fans'."

The twins later confirmed that their dad was on the road to recovery.

Jedward ultimately missed out on winning Celebrity Big Brother by an inch, with less than 3% of the public vote separating them and the series' winner Coleen Nolan.
