Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are “living separate lives” amid ongoing rumors of marital issues, according to a new report.

Speculation about the couple's marriage has grown over the past few weeks after it emerged that they hadn't been seen together publicly for 47 days.

This absence was followed by a series of awkward public appearances, with body language experts suggesting the pair appeared “unhappy” in each other's company.

Now, it's reported that although the couple is not "officially separated," they have been spending time apart and are considering purchasing separate properties.

A source told ET: “Jen and Ben have been living separate lives but have not officially separated yet. At this point, they are just doing their own thing. They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven't.

“Jen is touring houses and shopping around for her own home. She has been leaning on her mum, sisters, and kids during this transitional period.

“Ben is sad about it all but focused on his work, being a great dad, and co-parenting well with Jennifer Garner. He has been leaning on Matt Damon and his close circle of guy friends. Matt is always in Ben's corner and is supportive of him.”

The reports follow TMZ’s claims that the couple are selling their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion, which they purchased last year, and have reportedly been "living apart" for weeks.

The Hollywood couple, who were previously engaged before a high profile split in 2004, got married in July 2022.

Last week, Lopez spread a message of love amid speculation over her marriage and the cancellation of her US summer tour.

The 54-year-old praised her fans after discovering the “great news” that her newly-released film Atlas is “number one worldwide again this week”.

“It may seem like there’s a lot of negativity out in the world right now … but don’t let the voices of a few drown out that there is soooo much love out there,” Lopez said in a statement on her newsletter.

It comes after she cancelled her summer This Is Me… Live tour dates in the US, weeks before it was scheduled to start.

The tour was initially in support of her ninth studio album This Is Me… Now and was set to kick off in Orlando on June 26.

At the time, Live Nation said: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
