Jennifer Lopez thanks fans for ‘Atlas’ success amid ‘a lot of negativity’

NEW YORK — Jennifer Lopez shared a grateful message with fans on Wednesday, mentioning “a lot of negativity out in the world right now” as rumors swirl around her potential separation from husband Ben Affleck.

Lopez’s newest film, “Atlas,” has apparently topped Netflix streaming charts for the past two weeks.

“I just found out some great news and it’s all because of YOU!!” Lopez wrote in a message to fans on her website, “On the J-Lo.” “‘Atlas’ is #1 worldwide again this week!!! Thank you all so much!!! It may seem like there’s a lot of negativity out in the world right now…but don’t let the voices of a few drown out that there is soooo much love out there.”

Last week, Lopez canceled her planned “This Is Me… Live” tour, which was supposed to start June 26 in Orlando, Florida, and included two shows at Madison Square Garden in her hometown.

In a statement announcing the cancellation, Lopez said she was “completely heartsick and devastated” by the decision.

Promoter LiveNation said Lopez called off the shows to take “time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” Earlier in the year, concerts had been canceled due to lagging ticket sales.

Lopez has reportedly started living separately from her husband, though they both attended a high school graduation ceremony for Affleck’s daughter Violet last week.

Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, first got engaged in November 2022 and were set to marry in September 2003 but called off the wedding on short notice and separated a few months later. They reconciled in April 2021, following Lopez calling off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez, and got married in Las Vegas in July 2022.
