Jennifer Love Hewitt’s 3 Kids: All About Autumn, Atticus and Aidan
The '9-1-1' actress shares a daughter and two sons with her husband, fellow actor Brian Hallisay
Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband, fellow actor Brian Hallisay, are enjoying every moment while raising their three kids: Autumn, Atticus and Aidan.
Though the actors originally met on the set of Love Bites, their romance began after they reconnected on the set of the Lifetime show The Client List in 2012. The following year, news broke that Hewitt was expecting a baby with Hallisay and not too long after, they were engaged.
Their whirlwind relationship was solidified when Hewitt and Hallisay wed in an intimate ceremony a few days before their daughter Autumn was born in November 2013. Less than two years later, their second child, son Atticus, arrived in June 2015. The pair's third child, Aidan, rounded out their group with his arrival in September 2021.

Over the years, the actress has credited her mom, who died from cancer in 2012, for inspiring her to create her own family. “I've always wanted to be a mom. Because I want to give a kid all of the magical gifts my mom gave me, such as love and friendship,” the 9-1-1 actress told PEOPLE.
As they've grown, Hewitt and Hallisay have kept their kids’ lives private and out of the spotlight, only occasionally revealing information about their personalities and preferences. While announcing the news of the third pregnancy, the Criminal Minds star touched on how her older children would influence their newest addition.
"I feel like we've been able to so far raise two really special kids who will be great role models," she said. "This has been such a pleasant, beautiful, surprising gift in this time to be able to get to do all that again with another little human."
Here's everything to know about Jennifer Love Hewitt's kids: Autumn, Atticus and Aidan.
Autumn James Hallisay, 10
Hewitt and Hallisay’s oldest child, Autumn James Hallisay, was born on Nov. 26, 2013.
The couple announced their pregnancy before their engagement, sparking rumors about a potential secret wedding that were confirmed shortly after. They married about five days before Autumn arrived.
“It was just the two of us, and then we went to Bed Bath & Beyond, because that’s what married people do,” she said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014. "It was really sweet and he an awesome, incredible father and a great husband and I feel really lucky."
In her conversation with host Ellen DeGeneres, the actress also revealed that Autumn was "a great sleeper" who loved "Latin and hip-hop" music and enjoyed moving to the beat — leading Hewitt to believe she could become a dancer in the future.
Since then, the Heartbreakers star has shared glimpses of her daughter's personality, including after she landed her role as Maddie on Fox's procedural drama 9-1-1. According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2018, Autumn liked imitating her mother by repeating her lines and catchphrases from the show.
"My daughter has started walking around the house going, '9-1-1, mhmm. What’s your problem?' ... She has a fake phone and ... it’s really funny."
Although Hewitt prefers to keep her children out of the public eye when possible, she shared a sweet tribute to Autumn in 2021, displaying a rainbow-shaped ring on her finger.
“My daughter and I have a rainbow connection because the moment she was born, I saw a rainbow outside the window,” she shared on her Instagram Story.
Atticus James Hallisay, 9
Hewitt and Hallisay welcomed their son Atticus James Hallisay on June 24, 2015.
Following his birth, the actress spoke to PEOPLE about her growing family and touched on a heartfelt sentiment their kids share through their names.
"Autumn and Atticus both have the middle name James, after Brian’s grandfather," she said. "We thought it would be cute for them to share the same initials and middle name."
As for how the siblings got along, Hewitt revealed they became instantly attached. “She is in love with him and kisses him most of the day. Her favorite part of the day is snuggling with him,” Hewitt explained.
She continued, “It’s so gratifying to see them developing such a strong bond. My brother has always been an important part of my life and I’m so glad they will always have each other, too.”
While minimizing Atticus’s exposure to the limelight, Hewitt shared in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE that "he is a little boy with a giant heart.”
When she became pregnant with her third child, Atticus asked to help with bottle-feeding, believing he would be good at snuggling the new baby.
Aidan James Hallisay, 2
Hewitt and Hallisay celebrated the arrival of their youngest child, son Aidan James Hallisay, in September 2021.
Before Aidan’s birth, Atticus and Autumn were asking for a sibling “off and on for a year or so,” deciding which role they would fill if a new baby arrived, the actress shared with PEOPLE.
In fact, her son thought she might be pregnant before she even had an inkling, telling her she should take a pregnancy test when a commercial came on the TV. Though she didn't believe it at first, he turned out to be right.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Hewitt shared her “deeper perspective” on life upon becoming a parent and her gratitude for the two she had already.
Unlike with their previous children, the couple found out the baby’s sex ahead of time, and their kids sent Hewitt to the hospital with drawings on her belly, including the phrases “Almost Cooked!” “9 months” and “It’s A Boy!” written across her bump.
Despite her love of the experience of being pregnant, Hewitt said her third baby would likely be her last. "I'm pretty sure. I don't think I could do another one. I think five is a great number," she said.
