Jenson Button's fiancée Brittny Ward has shared an update on their 16-month-old son Hendrix after he suffered a febrile seizure on Halloween.

Sharing an image of her holding Hendrix in hospital on Instagram, the model wrote: "The Button family didn't have the best Halloween. Poor little Hendrix ended up having a febrile seizure Saturday afternoon after a sudden spike in temperature.

"They are much more common than we realized. They often happen to infants when there's a sudden spike in temperature and it's the body's response trying to regulate itself.

"If you don't know, when a child is having a febrile seizure it's best to keep them cool as possible and DO NOT cover them up. It's also best to lay them on their side so they don't choke on their saliva."

Brittny went on to thank those who took care of Hendrix and share that he's doing much better.

"Hendrix is doing much better today and is seemingly back to his playful self," she added. "Thank you to everyone who helped us in this scary situation and everyone who reached out making sure he was ok ❤️🙏🏼"

Former F1 driver Jenson and Brittny started dating back in March 2016, and announced their engagement two years later.

In June, the couple confirmed they were expecting their second child, a baby girl. On Tuesday (November 3), Brittny shared a series of photos showing off her baby bump.

"There's something very empowering knowing you're growing a female," she wrote. "I hope to teach her that she CAN do anything she wants to in the world. To be a STRONG woman who is kind. We can't wait to meet you baby girl. I already know you're gonna be feisty... like mama."
