Jeremy Clarkson revealed that he would “never say never” to taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here during filming for The Jonathan Ross Show.

The Grand Tour star told Ross that he wouldn’t turn down “a hundred thousand pounds” to head to the jungle “down the line.”

“We all say 'no' now because we’ve all got jobs,” he said.

“If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in! Yes, I’d go and do it…

“When we’re old and in the way, you can’t say. Never say never to that!”

The former Top Gear host also discussed his new farming venture with Ross, revealing how he is now “utterly exhausted” as a result of trying to run a 1,000 acre working farm in Oxfordshire.

“It’s unbelievably difficult and at any given moment you know a bit of machinery is going to cut one of my arms off,” he said. “Have you ever looked at the back of a tractor, it’s just lots of different ways for removing an arm.”

He revealed that he has tried “using a drone” to herd sheep and told Ross how he has named two rams after famous faces, calling them “Wayne Rooney and Leonardo DiCaprio.”

Clarkson is joined on Ross’s sofa by Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby, Girls star Lena Dunham, actress Glenda Jackson and Timewasters star Samson Kayo.

The Jonathan Ross Show is on ITV at 10.25pm on December 7.
