Jeremy Kyle left devastated by his mother's death

It has been reported that Jeremy Kyle’s mother has died, leaving the TV star understandably devastated.

The 51-year-old presenter has been spending a lot of time in Barbados with his father, and it’s thought that Jeremy jetted off to the sunny island to come to terms with his grief away from the spotlight.

Jeremy’s mum, Nanette, was 85 when she passed away after suffering from a stroke and battling with dementia.

A source revealed: “Nan had been unwell for a long time, and she was in her eighties, but it doesn’t make it any easier for the family to come to terms with.”

Jeremy has had a tough few months, recently facing scrutiny after he started dating his children’s former nanny, Vicky Burton, just a few months after he split from his wife, Carla Germaine, after 13 years of marriage.

However, relationship woes are the last thing on Jeremy’s mind at the moment, with the insider adding to The Sun: “Marriage is the last thing on the agenda at the minute.

“Jeremy has had an awful couple of months coping with the passing of his mum who he was extremely close to.

“That’s why he took his father away on holiday – he needed the chance to relax after everything a traumatic period and he felt his dad needed a break too.”

Jeremy recently appeared on Loose Women where he commented on his romance for the first time, telling the hosts that Vicky represents a “new chapter” and that he is “very happy”.
