Jeremy McConnell 'complains about s*** prison food' following early release

Jeremy McConnell walked free from prison yesterday [27 December] after serving just 34 days of his 18-week sentence, and it has now been reported that the disgraced reality star is on “great form” – although he has complained about the quality of prison food.

Jeremy was “excited” to regain his freedom, with the star being released in time for the New Year.

Speaking to The Sun, a source shared: “Jez was so excited to walk around as a free man. He kept his spirits up in prison and now he’s out it’s a fresh start for him.

“Jez told us prison food was shit and was in great form, laughing and joking with us.”

It had previously been claimed that Jeremy’s ex, Stephanie Davis, had been left upset by Jeremy’s early release, however, the former Hollyoaks’ actress seemingly denied the reports by retweeting a message from a fan that read: “‘A source close to Steph denied she was upset and said: ‘She has no thoughts or feelings regarding him and has not made any such comment to anyone so whoever has said that is untrue’.

“Another fake story written by Ellie to hurt Steph.”

Jeremy was given a suspended sentence in August of this year after he was found guilty of physically assaulting Stephanie, who he has son Caben-Albi with.

He was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and was ordered to attend a Building Better Relationships course as well as carry out 200 hours of community service.

Jeremy went on to miss eight work appointments, with a judge opting to activate his suspended jail term as a result.

He was imprisoned for 18 weeks in November of this year, but was released after serving less than a third of it.

Jeremy was spotted grinning as he walked out of HMP Cardiff in Wales, with it believed that he has been released with an electronic tag and will be required to adhere to a curfew.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star must also stay away from Stephanie for three years and any communication about their son must be done via social services or the family court.
