Jeremy Vine criticised for caller who said they 'didn't care' if Harry and Meghan were 'got' by the Taliban
A woman from West Yorkshire said she didn't care if the couple were 'got' by the Taliban
Jeremy Vine has been criticised for not challenging a caller who "spewed bile" about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A caller named Kath from West Yorkshire phoned in to Vine's Channel 5 show to weigh in on the ongoing debate around whether the Duke and Duchess should attend King Charles' coronation later this year.
Kath referenced Harry's claim that he killed 25 members of the Taliban when he served in Afghanistan with Vine then asking her if the unrecognised Afghan government would target Harry at the coronation.

Kath replied: "I think it's a damn good place for them to try. I don't give a damn about Harry and Meghan but there will be a lot of the British public there. They will also be at risk."
Vine was criticised online for failing to challenge Kath as he instead moved on to another caller.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "#JeremyVine letting a caller say she doesn’t care if Harry and Meghan get killed in an attack at the coronation. Gone downhill @theJeremyVine, why didn’t you challenge her? Absolutely ridiculous. Turning off - for good."
WOW @JeremyVineOn5 whoever let Kath from West Yorkshire spew her evil bile on national tv this morning needs the sack.
Wishing Harry harm from the Taliban? Are you for real? And this got aired on tv unchallenged?

Another user added: "This is awful. But I'm not at all surprised because Jeremy Vine is the same broadcaster who let former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond call Harry and Meghan's son Archie a "coloured Prince" without a correction. Editorial standards in this country are in a sewer."
Neither Vine himself or the show have yet commented on Kath's remarks during the broadcast.
