Jessie J has appealed for the return of designer gloves and a ring she wore at a tribute event for music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards over the weekend.

The Price Tag singer urged whoever has the items to return then, so that she can auction her full Balenciaga outfit for The Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust.

Jessie arrived at the Jamal's House event in Gunnersbury Park, London wearing a skin-tight blue outfit with matching gloves and a gold ring, removing part of it so that she could perform at the festival.

But in a post on her Instagram Stories, the 34-year-old chart-topper said the items have since disappeared.

"If you have or stole (Let's just call it what it is) my blue gloves and gold ring from the stage on Saturday at Jamal's House. Please email this email to organise to return them, " she wrote to her 11.6 million followers.

Jessie added: "My plan is to auction the full Balenciaga look I wore to raise money for the JESB Trust and I would love the gloves back to complete the look."

Edwards, who passed away in February, was the founder of online music company SB.TV, which helped launch the career of Jessie J as well as other artists, including Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.

He received an MBE in 2015 for his services to the music industry.

In an Instagram post marking her appearance at Jamal's House, Jessie paid tribute to her friend, writing: "I will always miss you but man will I always celebrate you my bro".

She added: "Your mum and sister were front row. We laughed we cried and we danced for you. Thank you Soho House for creating Jamal's House to raise money and awareness for his foundation JESB."

Launched after his death by Edwards' family, the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust aims to combat homelessness, support people struggling with mental health and provide young people with life skills — three causes close to Edwards' heart.

Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards — Jamal's mother — said in June she was still "triggered" by reminders of her son's passing, but that a conversation with Prince Charles provided a reminder of his positive impact.

She said: "He said your son was amazing and he did so much for the Prince's Trust over the decade.

"It just made me really proud to hear that and how many young people Jamal helped. It keeps me going."
