Jet2 issues summer warning to all Manchester Airport passengers

Jet2 has issued a warning to all passengers travelling to and from Manchester Airport this summer.

Ahead of what is expected to be an extremely busy few months for international travel, Jet2 has issued a number of alerts to those going abroad. One such update warns Manchester Airport passengers of road closures, with travellers advised to "please allow enough time".

The alert on Jet2's website reads: "We have been made aware of roadworks between Junction 5 & 6 of the M56 beginning Monday 10th June expecting to be completed by the end of August 2024.

"There will be closures of the M56, please refer to National Highways for specific dates and times of closures throughout this time frame. Diversions will be clearly signposted throughout this time.

"Please allow enough to time to travel to Manchester Airport as all Jet2.com flights are due to operate as scheduled."

All Jet2 passengers are also advised to check its website "at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information" and to arrive at your "departure airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time."

Jet2 guidance adds: "In the event of any flight delays further information can be found by using the above search panel by entering your flight number or route. As a reminder check in desks will close 40 minutes before your scheduled departure time."
