British TV legends were out and about in Heaton on Thursday, with Jill Halfpenny and Larry Lamb seen filming scenes for The Feud, as the new Channel 5 drama continues its production across the region.

Over the last month, Geordie actress Jill has been seen in a various locations in the North East as she follows up her much talked about role in Channel 5 thriller The Cuckoo earlier this year, with a lead role in the new thriller. Jill plays one half of a married couple who, on the face of things, have the perfect life with their daughter in a peaceful suburb, making close friends of their next door neighbours.

However, relations sour to the extreme when Jill's character and on screen husband Rupert Penry Jones decide to build an extension, with that move causing no end of tension, as objections are raised and life-threatening secrets begin to surface.

Last week, ex Byker Grove and EastEnders star Jill, who has also been in Channel 5's The Drowning and The Holiday, was seen alongside Inbetweeners actor Alex Macqueen, as the pair shot outside of houses in a street in Benton.

And she had another well known face from TV comedy by her side on Thursday, in the shape of Gavin & Stacey icon Larry Lamb. Larry, who will soon be reuniting with his Gavin & Stacey co-stars to film the recently announced final; episode, was seen in Heaton Park looking very dapper in a blazer and shirt, with Jill next to him in a long checked coat.

The Feud is being directed by BAFTA winner Andy De Emmony, who won the top TV accolade for his work on much loved comedy Father Ted back in 1999.
