Inauguration day is a troubling time for Donald Trump's critics, including JK Rowling, who has made no secret of her dislike for the President-elect throughout his journey to the White House.

So, when a fan tweeted the Harry Potter author to ask why she has never revealed how to make a horcrux, a fictional object in her books, Rowling responded by sharing her belief that if Trump can become President, then who knows what "impossible" things might happen.

"Because we appear to be living in an alternative reality where dreadful things you thought were impossible can happen," Rowling answered, adding #Inauguration in case it wasn't clear what she was referring to.

According to Harry Potter wikipedia, a horcrux is "an object in which a Dark wizard or witch has hidden a fragment of his or her soul for the purpose of attaining immortality."

For now, the theory behind it remains safely tucked inside Rowling's imagination, despite requests from fans asking her to elaborate on what she thinks Trump's 'horcrux' would be.

Of course, this isn't the first time the writer has linked her wizarding world to her opinion of the new President.

Back in December 2015, Rowling started her crusade against Trump with this particularly memorable shutdown, which compared the former businessman and Apprentice US star to 'He Who Must Not Be Named'.

There's been no shortage of Rowling's take downs since then, but this Trump critic never fails to be original.
