Jodie Comer has been spotted on the set of an upcoming film.

The Scouse actress from Childwall is joining the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes in the cast of zombie film 28 Years Later. It will be a sequel to the 2002 film 28 Years Later, which featured Cillian Murphy.

Scenes are currently being filmed in Northumberland and Jodie has been spotted enjoying herself on set. Onlookers reported she couldn't contain her laughter as some cast members, presumably playing Zombies, ran past her naked between takes in the Northumberland hills.

Jodie’s character, likely playing a human survivor in this apocalyptic world, looks battle-scarred with dirt on her face, marks on her clothes and straggly hair. She was also seen running with a young boy holding a bow and arrow in the fields, before taking shelter in a run-down petrol station.

Jodie spoke about her role in the film last month, sharing that she is adopting a dialect local to the area where the project is being filmed. Discussing her inspiration, the actor said that she's watched videos of Cheryl on the X Factor.

The Liverpool-born star has also been promoting her latest film, The Bikeriders, telling her co-stars Austin Butler and Tom Hardy on the best way to spend 24 hours in her home city.

She said: "I'd have to take them to my mum's for a roast dinner because my mum does the best roast. Then I was thinking a walk on the Albert Dock, maybe The Cracke up by Hope Street. They have a little jukebox in there, it's very stripped back."

Jodie was in stitches after she was asked if the night would end in The Blue Angel nightclub. She said: "I haven't been the Raz for over 11 years.

"I don't know if I want to go back to the Raz, it was always fluorescent drinks and sticky floors but it was glorious at the time. I wouldn't change a thing."
