Joe Lycett forced to apologise after Danny Dyer swears on live TV in Channel 4 show

During his Channel 4 show Late Night Lycett, comedian Joe Lycett found himself apologising for the behaviour of actor Danny Dyer. As they discussed Prince Andrew on Friday, April 12, Danny's colourful language led to an apology from the host.

The first episode of the new series featured Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway as well as Danny who broke a glass over an audience member's head. However, it was during a discussion about Prince Andrew that most necessitated an apology for Danny's foul language. After Danny called Joe a c**t for making him read an auto-cue about the royal, Joe said: "Sorry for that, disgusting language."

Reading the auto-cue, Danny started by saying: "I, Danny Dyer, have no hesitation in saying on live TV that Prince Andrew is my hero. I suppose the woke brigade would prefer Greta Thunberg but she's not fit to lick Prince Andrew's boots or appear in a photograph with him because she's too old."

As he continued reading the auto-cue about Prince Andrew, the former EastEnders star struggled to get his words out while laughing about the entire situation.

Later, Joe asked Danny: "We're on live TV tonight, is there anyone else you'd like to call a t**t? " In response, Danny re-phrased his insult towards David Cameron. Fans were quick to react positively on social media, with one commenting: "Danny Dyer at his best!", reports the Mirror.

Another impressed viewer posted: "Danny Dyer is, tbf, f***ing funny. Takes the p**s out of himself. Would have a pint with. Fair play," In the same episode, Kate Lawler shared a conversation she had with a friend. She mentioned how her friend once questioned her: "When did you stop doing porn? There's so much in that sentence that I need to unpack. Why did you think I ever did?"

The friend even showed her manipulated images featuring her face on someone else's body, to which Kate responded: "It was done really well, my body looked amazing, it was so agile. It's genuinely true." Elsewhere in the episode Joe admitted to being behind the fake news story that Ian 'H' Watkins would be getting a statue in Cowbridge - read more about that here.
