John Lundstram Ipswich transfer link dismissed amid continued Trabzonspor interest in Rangers star

John Lundstram was this morning linked with a summer free switch to Ipswich Town - but Football Scotland understands that claim is wide of the mark.

The Rangers midfielder has been continuously linked with a move to Turkey with Trabzonspor the main club reportedly keeping a close eye on his contract situation. Reports in the country have suggested the Black Sea Storm have already been in touch with the Scouser's representatives about a possible swoop but that they face competition from the Tractor Boys in the EFL Championship.

Football Scotland understands there is NO interest from Kieran McKenna's side as they seek a spot in the Premier League next season and that Lundstram is not on any shortlist.

Lundstram, 30, has managed 48 appearances in all competitions this term for Gers and has impressed at times under manager Philippe Clement despite falling off form in recent weeks.

He remains out of contract in the summer but the club are looking to tie him down with talks ongoing.
