Johnny Depp once gave Marilyn Manson a pill to 'stop talking'
Johnny Depp has admitted that he once gave his friend Marilyn Manson a pill so that he would "stop talking so much".
The actor was discussing his drug use during his defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
During Depp's cross-examination by Heard's lawyer, the Pirates of the Caribbean star was asked about his history of drinking and doing drugs with the controversial rockstar who has been accused of rape.

Depp said: “We drank together, we’ve had cocaine together maybe a couple of times. I once gave Marilyn Manson a pill so that he would stop talking so much.”
When further questioned about his drug use and a picture of a box alleged to contain cocaine, Depp said: “I can’t say that I carried cocaine in it … but it looks like it would fit some cocaine.”
During the trial, Depp has also admitted to doing drugs with his friend Paul Bettany.

Depp is suing Heard for defamation over an article the Aquaman star wrote for the Washington Post about surviving domestic violence.
While the article in question did not name Depp as her abuser, his lawyers have argued that the piece falsely implies Depp physically and sexually abused Heard during the marriage.
Heard has also filed a counterclaim, alleging that he has created a smear campaign against her.
As the trial continues, it is expected that Elon Musk and James Franco will testify on behalf of Heard. Depp accused both men of having an affair with his ex-wife.
In 2020, Depp lost a libel trial in the UK after The Sun called him a "wife beater". It was found that the claim that Depp was a "wife beater" was "substantially true".
Depp has argued that since the claims of domestic abuse that he has been boycotted by Hollywood.
