Jose Mourinho may not be settled at his new home of Fenerbahce just yet, but already the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid manager is getting to work on his summer transfer plans.

Mourinho has been brought to the Turkish giants with a simple aim of making them become league champions once again after three years as runners-up and 10 years since they last won their 19th league crown. A sixth manager in three years at the club, the Portuguese knows he needs to get off to a good start and in that record he needs his transfer business done early and to get the men he wants in the building quickly.

It's a search for a central defender that could put him on a collision course with Daniel Farke and Leeds United. Our colleagues at Football.London believe Mourinho has targeted Joe Rodon for a summer switch to Turkey. It was Mourinho who brought Rodon to Tottenham Hotspur from Swansea City in an £11m deal and now he's looking to repeat that transfer.

While they cannot offer Premier League football like they had hoped, Leeds have remained confident they can strike a deal to bring Rodon back to Elland Road, but the recent one-year activation of a contract clause by Spurs appears to be centred around getting the biggest transfer fee possible for the player and that could open a bidding war Leeds cannot win. Another loan deal with a substantial loan fee paid has also not been ruled out for the Welsh international.
