If you live in America, or don't but you watch a lot of Friends and other US TV, then you'll know all about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

Well, this year, Josh Gad's Frozen character became a giant balloon in the event, and while Josh first shared a couple of pictures of Olaf in action as a giant presence in New York City by saying he was "beyond honoured", it wasn't long before his thoughts turned to more lucrative ideas.

Yep, just a few hours later, the perfect shot of Olaf in New York sparked an idea for Gad, and it wasn't long before he was pitching the greatest crossover film we didn't know we needed to Bridesmaids director Paul Feig.

"I feel like there's a Ghostbusters crossover to be discussed," he wrote.

And it looks like it piqued Feig's interest too as the director soon pitched in his own idea about the project.

"'Frozebusters.' Let's do it!" he replied.

Now that's one film crossover we could definitely get behind.

And before you go thinking this is just one of those old Thanksgiving Day jibes between friends on a public platform... well, it probably is, but Josh's reply does tip the pair of them dangerously close to having to make this movie after all.

"Great. I'll have Disney and Sony get into it on Monday," he added.

So, we can expect an announcement by the end of next week then, yeah? Cool.

Paul Feig recently opened up about why he thinks his 2016 all-female Ghostbusters reboot didn't do so well when it was released last year, saying he thinks all the trolling around the movie didn't help matters.

"I think for some of our audience, they were like, 'What the f**k? We don't wanna go to a cause. We just wanna watch a f**kin' movie,'" Paul said.

"It was a great regret in my life that the movie didn't do better, 'cause I really loved it."

As for Gad, well he'll be revisiting his iconic character on the big screen pretty soon anyway, as short film Olaf's Frozen Adventure is heading to cinemas this weekend (November 25 and 26), with Frozen 2 slated for a November 2019 release date.
