Josie Cunningham Claims Jimmy Savile Abused Her When She Was 14

Josie Cunningham has made claims that Jimmy Savile abused her when she was 14 years old.

The controversial star alleges that Savile tried to ‘squeeze her boobs and kiss her on the lips’, and that he ‘pressed his private parts into her’ as she walked back from school.

The claims have not been verified and she has not gone to the police.

Josie, who grew up in Leeds and went to school near where Jimmy lived, made the allegations to The Sun, explaining: “The reason I’ve decided to speak about this now is because I understand that my interest in fame and the insecurities I have with my body have all stemmed from the time I met Jimmy.”

She says she didn’t know who he was at the time, but she did know he was a celebrity, adding: “He was just the guy in a tracksuit and a cigar that was famous.”

Josie claims that her first encounter with Jimmy was in 2003, after which she made more of an effort to bump into him again, with the two meeting again in the New Year.

Claiming that he was ‘a little more forward’ this time, Josie says Jimmy asked her if she had a mobile phone. When she told him it had been confiscated at school, he allegedly laughed and said ‘naughty, naughty’.

It was then, Josie says, that it became physical, with the star alleging: “He went to squeeze my boobs. I don’t think he was actually going to touch them but he was definitely testing the waters.”

Josie, who was feeling insecure about her chest, says she was ‘terrified’ and tried to ‘take control’ of the situation, hugging him and putting his hands on her bottom.

She adds: “I don’t know why I did that. I just felt like it was taking control and, if his hands were on my bum and we were hugging, he would have no way to see or feel that I had no breasts.”

She continues on to claim: “He squeezed my bum and then squeezed the inside of my thigh around the top. I was wearing a skirt and his hands were freezing.”

He allegedly gave her a kiss on the side of her mouth when she told him she had to go home, and told her the times he would be out running, with Josie admitting she continued to make more of an effort to bump into him, sometimes with a friend.

Meeting again in April, Josie claims Jimmy called her ‘darling’ and was the first person to say she was ‘pretty’, which ‘made her feeling like she was becoming a woman’.

However, Josie says she was ‘creeped out’ when he reportedly gave her a peck on the lips goodbye, saying: “It felt really wrong but I just thought that was him being older and some friends acted like that. It seemed like a mature way to say goodbye.”

Josie allegedly lost her virginity in the same week, recalling the experience to Jimmy the next time she saw him.

She told The Sun: “He was really different after I told him. I was on my own and I remember he was wearing his running shorts, they were extremely short and showed off his thighs.

“We had a laugh and joke, and when I said I hated school, he gave me a cuddle and pushed himself against me. I could feel his privates.

“I remember thinking it must have been just an accident and didn’t want to show him I could feel it in case it embarrassed him. But now I realise he knew what he was doing. When we hugged I could feel him fumbling with the waistband of my skirt. But he didn’t do anything.

“Then, when I pulled away from the hug, he slipped his hands down my waist band but this time around the front, it was only two seconds maximum, but it did scare me a bit.

“I didn’t act shocked though. I thought he was my friend and I didn’t want to upset or embarrass him. So, instead, I just laughed and said ‘naughty, naughty’ to him - like he used to say to me.”

Josie says she’s been left troubled by the incident, and that she feels jealous of other people who speak about their ordeals.

She adds that it’s been a ‘big decision’ to talk about this because she feels a kind of ‘loyalty’ to Jimmy, who died in 2011.
