Josie Gibson sets record straight on Stephen Mulhern dating reports

Josie Gibson has finally directly addressed reports that she is dating fellow TV presenter Stephen Mulhern.

The former This Morning star, 39, and the Deal Or No Deal host, 47, set tongues wagging after being caught holding hands outside TV studios in White City, West London, earlier this month.

When quizzed at the time about the status their relationship, she told MailOnline: “I'm in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don't think he loves me.”

Gibson further fuelled speculation by uploading a backstage video from Saturday Night Takeaway to Instagram and tagging Mulhern in it.

But in a interview with OK! Magazine Gibson completely shut down dating rumours, insisting that she and Mulhern are simply “best friends”.

She told the publication: "Stephen? Oh, he’s so lovely. We are really good friends, I really adore him, but there’s no romance in the air. But he’s so nice.”

The Gloucestershire-born personality added: "Every bloke that I come in contact with, the press seems to think that I’m having it off with them. People must think I’m a right goer. I’m not like that.

“To be with somebody or to even kiss somebody, I’ve really got to love them. I’ve really got to really be into them. I can’t give my energy over when I’m not completely into it.

“You know when you get that magic connection? For me it only comes around like once every seven years or eight years. I love the love because those are very, very special [moments] when you find them."

The only man in Gibson’s life otherwise is five-year old son Reggie. She split from his father, property developer Terry, when their son was five months old.
