Judge Rinder Signs Up For Strictly Come Dancing?

Judge Rinder is the latest name rumoured to be donning his ballroom shoes for a waltz around the dancefloor when Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year.

He joins a long list of other stars rumoured to be signing up to become the next Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers, with Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford and Emma Willis all having their names in the mix.

According to reports, bosses at the BBC were ‘desperate’ to get Judge Rinder - real name Robert Rinder - on the show, so that he could have a ‘war of words’ with judge Craig Revel Horwood, who isn’t exactly known for sugarcoating his critiques.

A source told The Sun: “Anybody who has watched Judge Rinder will know that he is going to be a brilliant match for Craig.

“Producers hope they will go for each other and are predicting that new viewers will tune in just to see them go head-to-head.

“We don’t know whether he can dance or has a background in it, but we know he certainly is entertaining. That’s what people want.”

A show source added that while Judge Rinder is ‘in talks’ to sign up, no contract has been signed.

A BBC spokesman said that they do not comment on speculation surrounding the show - so watch this space.
