Several people said they agreed with the TV star, who found fame with his reality court show.
One tweeted: "The time. The money. For Gawd’s sake."
Another person said that Judge Rinder had made an "excellent point".
"This is so true," another tweeted, adding: "Thanks for speaking out."
Someone else said the case was "a waste of money, time and high court time".
"Everything that is wrong with the so called ‘celebrity’ non-entities that clutter up the media these days," said another.
Someone else suggested: "This could have been easily sorted out by a dinner lady. They're experts in dealing with childish squabbles."
The Wagatha Christie saga started in 2019 when Rooney, who is married to footy ace Wayne, accused Vardy of leaking stories from her Instagram account to The Sun newspaper.
She posted a message on social media saying that she had been investigating who had been leaking information about her and claiming that Vardy – who is the wife of footballer Jamie – was the culprit.

Vardy, 40, denied the claim and sued Rooney for libel.
