Loose Women star Judi Love has finally addressed the seemingly awkward moment when Lorraine Kelly was given a special award at the BAFTAs. The 43-year-old presenter was caught on camera with a less than impressed expression as Lorraine was applauded while receiving a special accolade.

Judi took to her Instagram to post the footage and humorously commented on the incident that has since made headlines worldwide. She captioned the video: "After last night incident and now this morning becoming international news! I'd like to make an official statement.. Swipe left! @lorraine @lorrainekellysmith."

In a playful video shot at ITV studios, Judi is seen giving 64-year-old Lorraine the side-eye as they stand back-to-back, before both erupt into giggles, showing there's no bad blood between them.

Lorraine was honoured on Sunday evening for her remarkable four-decade-long television career, with the award presented by Succession actor Brian Cox. As she concluded her speech, Lorraine jovially announced: "I'm on the telly tomorrow, but I'm going to celebrate tonight. Thank you so much! " The broadcast then cut to Ant and Dec, who were enthusiastically applauding, followed by Anne Reid of The Sixth Commandment fame, who joined in with polite applause.

But as the cameras panned to Judi, she appeared less than thrilled, opting not to clap and was caught on camera rolling her eyes. The incident quickly became a talking point for viewers at home, sparking a wave of amused reactions online, reports the Mirror.

After Judi shared her thoughts this morning, her followers were quick to respond, with one posting a crying laughing emoji and writing: "Bombastic BAFTA side eye! " Another fan expressed their admiration, saying: "I love it! Don't change one bit Judi! " Mnek also chimed in, commenting: "I've been screaming at this all morning."

An emotional Lorraine took to the stage last night to accept her award, addressing the audience of celebrities: "It is such an honour, I would really like to thank everybody I have worked with in the last 40 years. I am proud to work on breakfast and daytime telly, we are campaigning but we also have fun.

"Viewers think of me as a pal and that is incredible. I would just say don't pull up the ladder, please make it possible for kids like me from a working class background, we've had amazing opportunities and I want others to have them.

"Thanks to my mum and dad for their work ethic. This means the world thank you so much. I am on the telly tomorrow but I am going to celebrate tonight." Lorraine also mentioned how "proud" she is of her daughter Rosie, who is pregnant, making Lorraine an excited soon-to-be grandmother.

Lorraine Kelly was astonished in March when she discovered that she would be receiving a special award to honour her longstanding career. Susanna Reid surprised her with the news live on air, saying: "Good morning Lorraine, this has come as an enormous surprise... I have a very special announcement for you, Lorraine Kelly. It doesn't get much bigger or more deserved than this."

Susanna continued, revealing the reason for her unusual appearance that morning: "I'm here for a special reason this morning, because BAFTA will be celebrating your 40 years in broadcasting."

In addition to being nominated for her own show, Lorraine had another accolade to look forward to, which was "unique" to her. Reading out the official statement, Susanna announced: "This is the first time something like this has been announced on air. On behalf of the BAFTA board of trustees, we are delighted to offer you Lorraine Kelly the Academy Special award to be presented at this year's BAFTA Television Awards."

Taken aback, Lorraine simply responded: "That is nuts, that's nuts." Suspicious that she might be the victim of a practical joke, she enquired: "Where are Ant and Dec? It can't be a prank because it's Susanna! ".

Susanna went on to speak about Lorraine's long-term contributions to the television industry. Overcome by emotion, Lorraine replied: "Thank you. I'm in shock. This is crazy," reiterating that she was certain this wasn't a hoax because Susanna wouldn't partake in such trickery.
