Julian Clary announces marriage - in his own unique style

Comedian Julian Clary confirmed he’s still queen of the double entendres by announcing his marriage in his own unique style.

The 57-year-old comedian shared a sweet snap of himself getting hitched to long-term partner Ian Mackley at the weekend.

The typically tongue-in-cheek caption? “On Saturday he slipped his finger into my ring at last. #married”

Oh, Julian! Still, HUGE congratulations to the pair of you, anyway!

Julian met his new husband Ian eleven years ago on a yacht in Ibiza, and the pair now live in a rather swanky 15th century Manor House in Aldington, Kent. The grand home used to be owned by playwright Noel Coward.

The Sticky Moments star once told OK! Magazine that his other half spends most of his time in London – and that’s exactly how they both like it.

“It’s the perfect arrangement because we get to have one space from each other.

“‘We don’t go to first nights and parties – it’s not his sort of thing – and when we come down here no one bats an eyelid.”

Julian’s fellow comic Dawn French was among the first to offer her congratulations on Twitter, replying with an excited “Wooooohoooooo!” and a string of hearts.

Julian took his partner up the aisle (sorry) in a private ceremony at an unnamed registry office over the weekend.

Congratulations guys!
