Celebrity Big Brother is officially back on our screens with a brand new group of housemates and the first of them to enter the most famous house in the UK, was former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, but just what exactly is her net worth?
Before Sharon entered the house as the series' first ever lodger (she'll only have a short stint in the house) it was rumoured Sharon was being paid £500,000 to appear on the show. However, her team has now denied Sharon is being paid £100,000 per day to be on Celebrity Big Brother, saying the rumours are "not true".
While she may not be getting paid half a million to appear on the show, her bank balance is unlikely to suffer as she and husband Ozzy Osbourne are reportedly worth millions. So just exactly how much money are Sharon and Ozzy worth? And how did they make their fortune? Here's what you need to know.
Black Sabbath fortune
As the lead vocalist in band Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne has accrued an impressive fortune. The band formed in 1967 and have since gone onto sell millions of albums and tours. Add to that a solo career spanning the 1980s to 2022 and Ozzy is not doing too badly. Along with Sharon, Ozzy created Ozzfest in 1996 and it became a yearly festival.
Sharon's TV appearances
Over the years Sharon has graced our TV screens in various presenting and judging roles, most notably as a judge on The X Factor and American's Got Talent. Sharon was reportedly said to be paid £2million per series of The X Factor and "just" $70k an episode of America's Got Talent. Um, if anyone wants us to pay us $70k for literally anything, we'll take it.
Sharon is also well known for her appearance as a host on US talk show The Talk, where she was said to receive a casual $1million per season.
She also had her own chat show The Sharon Osbourne Show which ran from 2003 to 2004 and had a quick comeback in 2006.
And she's also made various cameo or guest appearances on a variety of shows including RuPaul's Drag Race, The Masked Singer UK, Jane The Virgin, Would I Lie To You? and Celebrity Gogglebox among many others. Sharon is clearly booked and busy.
The Osbournes reality show
Of course, many people know Sharon and Ozzy for their reality TV show The Osbournes which followed the lives of their family and children, Jack and Kelly, from 2002 to 2005.
In the first season of the show every member of the family was said to be taking home $5,000 per episode. By season two however, each family member was said to be receiving $5million for their time on the series.
Property investments
As mentioned on Celebrity Big Brother, Sharon has lived in the US since 1975 and the couple mainly live in Los Angeles. However, on the show she also revealed they have a house in Buckinghamshire, England.
Their home in the US was bought for $12 million, however last year they put it up for sale for $18million. They also had an apartment in West Hollywood that they put up for sale for $4.8million.
