Justin Bieber To Play UK Festival This Summer

Pop singer Justin Bieber is set to appear in his first UK show since his failed tour of 2013.

The 21-year-old will headline the Friday night at the Fusion Festival in Birmingham on 28 August.

He said: "There are some great artists on the line-up so to be headlining the Friday night is a real honour."

Bieber disappointed fans in 2013 after he started one concert at London's O2 so late some of his young fans were left stranded, while others had to leave shortly after the gig began.

Another appearance saw him leave the stage in the middle of a song saying he was "light of breath".

The star also had to explain himself after a fracas with a photographer outside a central London hotel blaming what he had called a "rough week".

Bieber took to Twitter shortly after the outburst - writing that his adrenaline was running high and he "let the paps get the best of me".

The Canadian singer rose to fame in 2007 when YouTube videos of him competing in singing contests in his home town went viral.

Record label executives spotted them and he signed to Island Records in October 2008 after a label bidding war between Usher and Justin Timberlake.
