Justin Timberlake stepped out for a good cause this week in New York City.
On Thursday evening, the singer, 42, attended a cocktail hour and dinner party supporting Pharrell Williams' new Joopiter clothing auction with Kenzo artistic director Nigo, according to WWD.
The star wore a beige sweater and matching pea coat paired with black pants and shoes, along with red-tinted black sunglasses as he posed in photos captured at the event.
According to a press release, the sale, titled From Me to You, is a curation of sought-after, iconic, and unseen items from the personal archive of Nigo. The auction will be open for global bidding on Joopiter.com from Nov. 9 to 16. Joopiter is a global digital-first auction house and content platform founded by Williams.
Nigo's collection was on show during the fashion affair, including an oversized orange Hermès Birkin bag, Louis Vuitton trunks and shoe-carrying bags, and many pairs of never-worn Levis, according to WWD. Model and actress Cara Delevingne, 31, was also in attendance.
Other items included in the auction are special-edition Casio G-Shock watch, an all-white leather, first-edition BAPE STA sneakers signed by rapper JAY-Z, a custom Brooklyn Machine Works bike, and a Jacob & Co white gold and diamond Gucci link chain, the press release states.
"From Me to You is named after one of my favorite Beatles songs, and it symbolizes the time to finally release my most cherished, personal collections out into the world," Nigo said in the press release about the auction. "Each item is something that I have spent time and energy to collect, and many I’ve been privileged to help create. I am sincerely looking forward to seeing how they are passed onto the next generation, and I hope they continue to live on through the next.”
Williams added: "I’ve been wearing vintage since when I was 15 years old. There was a big American vintage trend in Japan in the ‘80s. The Japanese hardcore collectors were the ones who came up with the manual on vintage, and the culture still lives on today. The pursuit of learning from vintage clothing continues to inform everything I do."
