Justin Timberlake makes Susanna Reid blush with ‘super hot grandma’ compliment

Take note, Justin Timberlake: calling a 45-year-old woman a ‘super hot grandma’ isn’t necessarily going to go down too well.

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid was left red-faced and speechless this morning when the US superstar made the comments while clutching a framed photo of the star during a surprise video message.

Luckily it’s not quite as random as it sounds. The pair star together in new kids’ movie trolls, with Susanna making a cameo as – you guessed it – Justin Timberlake’s grandma.

Just in case you’re wondering whether the pair struck up an unlikely romance on set, sadly it seems they’ve never actually met. Despite starring in the Dream Works movie together, they recorded their parts separately.

“Susanna, look, you’re here with us!” Justin bellows in the clip. “You play my grandmother in Trolls and you look way too young to be a grandmother.

“I have a super-hot grandma.”

Co-star Anna Kendrick adds: “Your grandmother is a babe.”

Piers Morgan was suitably impressed by it all, saying: “Oh my god! That’s astonishing! That’s very cool Timberlake giving it the ‘you’re too young to be a grandmother’ – he’s right in your target range.”

Susanna’s response? “What does that mean?”

Good Morning Britain’s showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold was pretty impressed too, and even tipped Susanna’s cameo for an Oscar nomination.
