Kandi Burruss has the perfect 10 year anniversary in mind!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 47, revealed to PEOPLE at the 2023 Variety Women Of Reality TV event on Wednesday night that she is planning to take a trip down memory lane with her husband Todd Tucker for their anniversary.

“We are celebrating 10 years, our 10 year anniversary in April,” Burruss says. “We're trying to go back to South Africa, where we met on the show.”

“That trip, what was that season four something? I don't know,” she continues. “But we're trying to go back there and hit all the spots that we did with the ladies on the show, and they may not... I don't know if they're coming, but we'll be there. So yeah, I want to do that.”

Tucker was working as a production manager for RHOA in 2011, when the duo first met.

The reality star, who was being honored as one of the most powerful women on TV, went on to praise her husband for his “support,” which she says “means everything to me.”

“Todd is just… he is the most amazing husband because he keeps me motivated,” she says. He keeps me going when people are trying to tear me down. He never lets me sulk in my sad hits. He's like, ‘No, we’ve got to keep going. Let's do this. Let's do that.’”

Things have also healed between her mother and Tucker, who were feuding in the latest season of Real Housewives of Atlanta after her mother accused him of cheating. Burruss says that their marital struggles ultimately strengthened their relationship.

“Him and my mom, they worked it out,” she adds. “They’re back.”

She said the pair’s contention was a “big problem” after Bravo Con last year, but they have reconciled to the point where they will also be spending the holidays together again. “This year we've turned it around, so I'm hoping that we stay on the good path outside of that."

As for what’s next for the reality star couple, Burruss said she and her producer husband will be working together to produce a new version of The Wiz — which she said she’s “excited about” — along with many other projects.

“We also have some movies that are coming that we are producing. So we already had the one, the Pass that was on Peacock, so that did really great. And yeah, we're trying to keep it going,” she says.
