Kate Garraway supported by Good Morning Britain co-hosts at husband Derek Draper's funeral

Kate Garraway was supported by her Good Morning Britain co-presenters at her husband Derek Draper's funeral on Friday.

The Good Morning Britain star announced on 5 January that her husband, a former political adviser, had died following a lengthy battle with health complications due to Covid-19. He had been critically ill following a cardiac arrest in December.

Kate, 56, bid farewell to her beloved Derek at the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Primrose Hill, north London, on Friday morning.

Many of her fellow GMB stars attended the service, including Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins, Richard Arnold, Alex Beresford and Laura Tobin.

Other TV personalities came out to support Kate, including former GMB presenter Piers Morgan, Kate's former GMTV co-host Fiona Phillips, Robert Rinder and Myleene Klass.

Elton John, who sent Kate condolences on social media following Derek's death, also attended the service with his husband David Furnish. He was pictured using a walking stick outside the church.

Derek's former colleagues and friends from his time as a Labour Party lobbyist also were also spotted entering the church. These included former Prime Minister Tony Blair, current Labour leader Keir Starmer, and Ed Miliband.

Derek spent 13 months in hospital after contracting Covid-19 in March 2020 and was believed to be one of the U.K.'s longest-suffering coronavirus patients. He suffered extensive damage to his organs and required round-the-clock care once he returned home in April 2021.

The couple married in 2005 and share two children, Darcey and Billy.
