With the imminent arrival of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge's baby it appears the world has gone royal baby crazy with a gossip magazine in the US actually offering their readers a seven day holiday, if they guess the correct weight of the baby.

Speculation has gone into overdrive about when they baby will be born, what it'll be called and whether it's going to be a boy or girl Us Weekly has given it's readers what they claim is the "ultimate test," and if they rightly predict the date and weight of the arrival, that lucky person will win a Caribbean vacation on the Royal Princess, which was christened by the royal earlier this month.

The Princess Cruises' 1000ft vessel was officially named by the Duchess in her last solo engagement before her maternity leave in Southampton on June 13. The date of the baby's arrival has been the centre of the debate over the last few weeks, especially after the surprise arrival of Kim Kardashian's daughter who was reportedly five weeks early.

Earlier this year, the Duchess confirmed during a visit to Glasgow that she was due in mid-July, though didn't confirm the actual date. Since then royal watchers have been enjoying a flutter over when exactly the baby will arrive, with July 17 and 18 the favourite at 9/1 while the 16 and 19 are second with 10/1.

While the Duchess did claim her due date was mid-July it hasn't stopped betters taking a gamble on an early arrival with odds of 8/1 being given for a birth during June.

“We still believe the due date is in July but we have seen a real gamble on June, which cannot be ignored,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. However, as the long awaited due date draws closer there's speculation the Duchess may have not been completely truthful about when she's expecting her first child.

According to The Telegraph there is speculation the reported July 13 due date could be a ruse by the Palace to keep secret the actual date with the baby due ten days earlier. In 1982 Diana had revealed that Prince William was due on July 1 but actually arrived on June 21.

The baby window of July 13 - 14 was reported earlier this year, when a source claims a close friend of the couple let the due date slip.

"Some of Kate and William's closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the royals recently," the MailOnline reported a source telling them in May,

"They were all discussing the fact that Kate's baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone was very excited."
