Earlier this month, just after hairdressers officially opened in England, Kate Middleton debuted a departure from her usual brunette hair colour with stunning honey-toned highlights.

Normally known for switching up her length — but keeping her natural, chocolatey brown locks the same — Kate broke with tradition to make a change for her to active royal duty, and it seems the changes didn't just stop at the colour.

Kensington Palace have released pictures of Kate meeting with representatives from organisations which will benefit from the Royal Foundation's £1.8 Million fund to support frontline workers and the nation's mental health, and we couldn't help but notice how differently her newly-coloured hair was styled.

As well as the usual bouncy blow dry, Kate's hair had a distinct beach wave throughout — and added even more pep to her new summery hair and outfit.

And though it's easy to be immediately drawn to the Duchess' new hairstyle, the importance of the work she is doing to support the mental health of frontline staff is not be undermined.

As the caption of the Instagram post reads: 'Over recent months we have all been in awe of the incredible work that frontline staff and emergency responders have been doing in response to COVID-19.

'And we know that for many of them, their families, and for thousands of others across the UK, the pandemic will have a lasting impact on their mental health.

'Today The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has granted nearly £1.8 million to 10 leading charities at the heart of mental health and frontline support through a bespoke fund set up as part of the organisation’s response to COVID-19.

'Earlier this week The Duke and Duchess spoke to four representatives from organisations which will benefit from the fund including two emergency responders and two mental health counsellors.

Unsurprisingly, the comment section was flooded with messages of support and gratitude from adoring members of the public.

'This is a great initiative,' wrote one user, while another added: 'Love them and the work they do.'

Thanks, as always Kate, for demonstrating that it is possible to do good while looking good.
