Kathy Beale’s Coming Home As EastEnders Release TWO New Trailers For The Autumn

Now that summer’s finally over, we can all stop pretending we like our friends and get back to our favourite pastime – sitting in front of the telly every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, drinking wine and watching EastEnders.

Fans of the show are in for an early treat though, as show bosses have released not one, but TWO trailers for the show – one centred around Kathy Beale’s return from the dead, and the other giving us some clues as to what’s going down on the square in the coming months.

In the ‘Kathy’s Coming Home’ clip, it’s all very moody, depressing and windswept (the 'Enders aesthetic), as our Kath stumbles around backwards through the streets of E20, narrowly avoiding sons Ian and Ben for what seems like the umpteenth time this month.

Now we all knew that Gillian Taylforth was one of soapland’s finest actresses, but who knew she could walk the entirety of Turpin Road and Albert Square completely backwards and NOT BLINK ONCE. Truly one of the greats.

(Yes, we get it’s supposed to be all poetic and what not, but the image of Ben regurgitating his chips and Kathy almost impaling herself on the Square’s railings was a bit too much for a Saturday morning.)

Anyway, in the clip, Kathy reveals how she faked her death 'for a man’, and she doesn’t seem very happy about it to be honest – vowing that she’s going to win her kids back, and that “OME IS WHEEER MI 'ARRT IS’.

Basically, it’s fabulous.

In the second teaser trailer, Kathy is seen taking to the skies in a helicopter with supposedly evil partner Gavin, as well as giving Tracey the Barmaid an opportunity to speak for the first time in years – with Kathy ringing the Queen Vic up and begging Tracey for help.

'COR BLIMEY GUV'NOR.

In other news, Dot’s out of the nick, Max’s trial starts, Ronnie has an affair with Vincent, Charlie tries to kidnap their baby and Jane confesses to Phil that Bobby killed Lucy!

Sorry guys, we’re not leaving the house for the next six months at least.
