Katie Price has come under fire by some of her son’s Instagram followers for sharing a new picture of her disabled son, Harvey, with a smashed iPad behind him.

The image shows Harvey wearing a giant bow tie, oversized glasses and an iPad charging behind him with a visibly cracked screen.

The new picture comes just weeks after Katie Price claimed on both Victoria Derbyshire and This Morning that her 16-year-old son had smashed iPads, television sets and windows around her Sussex home.

She also said she was considering putting him into a residential care home as she claimed at 6ft 2 and 24 stone he is now too big for her to properly care for him. Harvey, has Prader-Willi Syndrome, is autistic and partially blind.

Many of Harvey’s 126k Instagram followers (Katie manages his account and posts the content) took offence to the new image, with some even accusing Katie of exploiting her disabled son.

One user accused the former glamour model of making the situation all ‘about her.’ The user wrote: ‘There is something very wrong with this now…enough is enough KP we all know H doesn’t post or read this rubbish it’s all about you KP.’

Another agreed writing: “Shocking how much his mum tries to make him look like a fool for social media attention.”

Another accused Price of using her son as bait to encourage online trolls: “So she’s using Harvey as bait, to reel the trolls in.”

However not everyone were against the photo, in fact many followers said they felt Harvey was simply enjoying playing ‘dress up’ and that his mother has every right to set up an Instagram account for him.

Several also said they enjoyed seeing Harvey’s posts and parents with disabled children commented that they believed everyone has the right to have a social media account.

One wrote, “I love you Harvey… I think your amazing…. you make me smile so much. My son is 14 and has autism and he is amazing just like you. Don’t take any notice of the horrible people that have nothing nice to say”

While another argued: “Just because he has special needs and is a target for horrendous bullies doesn’t stop him from being himself!”

Price has also posted a new video of Harvey playing the keyboard and many followers praised his musical talents.
