Katie Taylor aims to become a two-weight world champion when she takes on Christina Linardatou for the WBO super-lightweight championship.

33-year-old Taylor became Ireland’s first unified world champion with a points victory over Delfine Persoon in June, adding the WBC belt to her WBA, WBO and IBF titles.

Despite the clamour for a rematch with the Belgian, the undefeated Bray fighter has her eye on more titles in what will be just her 15th professional bout against Linardatou.

Taylor will fight on a card in Manchester that will also feature Anthony Crolla fighting for the final time before hanging up his gloves.

Date, UK start time and venue

Taylor vs Linardatou takes place at the Manchester Arena on Saturday 2 November.

At the moment, the women’s WBO super-lightweight title bout is slated to headline the card ahead of Anthony Crolla’s last fight.

With that in mind, ringwalks will be expected at around 10:30pm.

TV channel and live stream

The fight will be shown live on Sky Sports Action and is available via Now TV with a day pass on offer for £8.99.

Sky Sports subscribers can stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app.

Taylor vs Linardatou prediction

Linardatou’s only defeat as a professional coincidentally came against Persoon back in 2016 when she fought at lightweight – losing on all three of the judges’ scorecards.

Taylor represents another step up in class for the Greek fighter – and while she will come in full of confidence as the champion on a four-fight winning streak, the Bray Bomber’s superior ring craft will tell.

Taylor to win via majority decision.
