Katy Perry struggled to find her seat at King Charles III's coronation

Like a needle in a royal haystack.

Katy Perry had difficulty locating her seat at Westminster Abbey on Saturday morning.

A special guest for the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla – she's signed up to perform alongside Take That and Andrea Bocelli at Windsor Castle's coronation concert on Sunday – the US pop star was spotted struggling to find her place among other celebrities.

Wearing a giant pink hat for the royal occasion, many Twitter users lauded Perry for the relatability on display.

"Katy Perry not finding her seat is so me" and "The way she's trying to look for her seat with that hat, it's adorable and funny at the same time," read a couple of tweets.

Fellow music stars primed to perform at Windsor Castle on Sunday include Lionel Richie, Zak Abel, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Tiwa Savage, Sir Bryn Terfel, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics and Nicole Scherzinger.

Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise will also be in attendance, as will Winnie the Pooh.

Singer-songwriter Freya Ridings was due to perform but pulled out "due to being unwell", according to the BBC.

The Sun previously reported that Elton John – a close friend of the late Princess Diana and more recently Prince Harry – Harry Styles and the Spice Girls had been reached out to, but were unable to fit the historical event into their schedules.

Adele and Ed Sheeran also reportedly turned down requests to perform at the concert, despite the King being "very keen" to have the two artists involved.

The concert will be aired live at 8pm on BBC One and available to stream on iPlayer.
