Keira Knightley has been wearing wigs for 5 years
Celebrities change their hair like the weather (oh hey, Kylie Jenner), so understandably several stars turn to a more temporary solution to keep their tresses intact - unless they ultimately want to go for the dramatic chop a la Jennifer Lawrence post-Katniss Everdeen.
And Keira Knightley, who is usually known for those incredible cheekbones and eyebrows (on fleek), has admitted to joining those ranks by wearing a wig or two for some of her more recent roles.
Talking to The Times of India, she said: "I have dyed my hair virtually every colour imaginable for different films.
"It got so bad that my hair literally began to fall out of my head. So for the past five years I've used wigs, which is the greatest thing that's ever happened to my hair."
Keira also credited the birth of her baby girl Edie as a major defining moment for her hair, adding: "I have naturally crazy, curly hair, and since I've had the baby it's become 10 times thicker.
"So now I've been finding quite a lot of dreadlocks."
Hair extension expert, Tatiana Karelina says: "The temporary solution for tired or damaged hair would be light weight clip-in hair extensions, hair pieces or a great quality wig.
"As with Keira Knightley's wigs, any of these solutions should match perfectly in colour, density and texture to the natural hair in order to blend seamlessly and look just like real hair.
"Professionally applied hair extensions are a great cosmetic treatment which helps to restore the hair, add volume, length, colour, and most importantly, help with minimizing the signs of alopecia and regaining the self esteem."
Keira and her husband James Righton welcomed their daughter in May 2015, with Keira later gushing about the new arrival in an interview.
"The love thing is astonishing," she said. "It's a very primal, primal love."
Keira will next have to gather her locks into a new wig if she lands the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in Disney's live-action version of The Nutcracker, for which she's been rumoured.
