Kelly Osbourne has recently opened up about her battle with Lyme disease, explaining how it nearly took her life.

Kelly, 32, appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ earlier this week, where host Andy Cohen quizzed the former Fashion Police judge about having recently labelled Lyme disease as Hollywood’s “trendy disease.”

Writing in her new book ‘There Is No F***ing Secret: Letters From a Badass B****’, Kelly reportedly explains how she has grown tired of seeing “sad celebrities play the victim on the cover of weekly mags.”

“I’ve kept quiet about my Lyme disease, not only for fear of pharmaceutical companies coming after me because of the cure I found in Germany but also because it seems like the trendy disease to have right now, and I’m tired of seeing sad celebrities play the victim on the cover of weekly mags,” she writes in the memoir, according to Us Weekly.

“Since I know first-hand how awfully debilitating it is, I know who really has it and who is just trying to prolong their 15 minutes. I don’t understand how anyone could think that the life you have to live with Lyme disease is glamorous.”

Some people felt that Kelly’s shady comments were directed at ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Yolanda Hadid, who suffers from chronic Lyme disease.

However, Kelly refuted these claims during her recent interview, telling Andy: “I actually helped Yolanda, I put her in touch with the doctor who helped me.

“What annoys me is that this is a real, real disease, it almost killed me. Someone can take one sentence and make it seem so negative… there is nothing negative, I will do anything to raise awareness for it because I almost died from it.

“It’s a debilitating disease that most of the time goes misdiagnosed,” she added.

Good for you, Kel – for always setting the record straight.
